Thermovision


What is thermovision and what is?

Thermovision: (the name comes from the trade name of the first camera company AGA-Thermovision) is generally speaking a remote, non-contact diagnostic method, based on the observation of infrared radiation emitted by any body at a temperature greater than zero and converted into an image of this radiation, visible light. This makes it easy to determine the distribution and temperatures in the test object.

 When the test walls are made from the heated room space thermal bridges or cavities in the insulation on the thermograms have lower temperature. By contrast, when measurements are performed from the outside or from the cold room, thermal bridges are shown as the place warmer, which is usually the thermograms are brighter. When you are on the external surface, poorly insulated illustrate the septum, through which heat escapes. In turn, low surface temperature confirms the good insulation properties.

Application of infrared in construction
Thermographic studies allow the assessment of thermal insulation of buildings, not only to determine the thermal insulation of tasks, but after checking their performance, how to succeed. Thermograms ruthlessly strip since any shortcomings and errors regulations, which then results in increased heat escaping from the building.

 Measurements of thermal imaging, based on a comparison of temperatures in the outer and inner surfaces of the building permit indicate insulation faults, such as gaping between the blocks or damage insulation or lack thereof. In this case, the areas adjacent to the walls of these places will have a different temperature than the rest of the wall. Studies confirm that, depending on the type of defect, we get every time a different temperature regime, and hence, a different picture termowizyjny. The condition determining method of measurement thermovision defects is the occurrence of heat flow, which depends on the temperature difference on both sides of the walls.
Research Thermo allow qualitative and quantitative assessment of building partitions. Indeed, it is possible to determine the value of heat transfer coefficient U [W / mK], but only after the execution at the same time, additional measurements of the other levels of penetration of heat through the barrier test.

Notes:
All the window in the house do not have defects in thermal (eg, related to their poor grounding or loss of gas wells). Presented on the sample image above shows only a thermal bridge in the window frame. Thermograms observed for the majority of elevated temperatures on the surface of the window framework of temperature on the surface of the walls are a result of increased thermal conductivity of the same framework.

Notes:
